Emily & Jimmy’s Candlelit Celebration at Franklin Park Conservatory

Emily and Jimmy created a dreamy, candlelit celebration at Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens that blended thoughtful planning with heartfelt personal details. With many guests traveling from out of town, the couple focused on creating an atmosphere that felt warm, welcoming and full of joy. Planning and coordination by Alyssa Thomas Events allowed the day to unfold seamlessly while every beautiful moment was captured by Queen Anne’s Lace Photography.

Getting Ready

The morning began with a calm, excited energy as Emily prepared for the day surrounded by her closest friends and family. With the planning team managing the logistics, the couple was able to fully enjoy the meaningful moments leading up to the ceremony. Emily’s creative eye was evident from the start, setting the tone for the romantic and personal celebration ahead.

Personal Touches

Emily describes her style as “coastal grandma,” and she infused that aesthetic throughout the wedding with handmade details. She designed the couple’s invitation suite herself, using soft colors and delicate designs to introduce guests to the intimate feel of the celebration.

Another standout detail was the set of cross-stitched table numbers Emily created by hand. These charming pieces added warmth to the reception design and reflected the thoughtful effort she put into making the wedding feel uniquely theirs.

A Candlelit Terrace Reception

Following the ceremony, guests gathered on the terrace at Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens for one of the couple’s most anticipated moments—a candlelit outdoor reception. As evening set in, flickering candlelight created a romantic glow across the tables while the conservatory’s lush gardens provided a naturally beautiful backdrop.

The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, encouraging guests to linger, connect and celebrate together. Queen Anne’s Lace Photography captured the warmth of the candlelight and the joyful moments shared throughout the evening.

Dancing the Night Away

After dinner, the celebration moved indoors where the energy shifted into a lively dance party. Music by Josh Staley Productions kept the dance floor full as guests celebrated late into the night.

The transition from the romantic outdoor terrace to a high-energy reception perfectly reflected Emily and Jimmy’s vision—an evening that balanced intimate moments with an unforgettable celebration.
