Malia & Hunter’s Romantic Wedding at the Columbus Museum of Art

Every detail of Malia and Hunter’s wedding at the Columbus Museum of Art reflected timeless romance and artful design. With guidance from the talented team at MMJ Events, the couple envisioned a day that blended natural beauty with elevated sophistication—where florals, light, and love intertwined seamlessly. From the rehearsal venue at High Line Car House to the ceremony and reception at The Columbus Museum of Art Set, their celebration was a true reflection of their warmth, creativity, and connection.

Wedding Ceremony at the Museum: Rooted in Light and Design

The ceremony took place in the Edwards Court & The McCoy Family Broad Street Lobby at the museum, surrounded by soft natural light and artful design. Inspired Settings brought the couple’s vision to life through lush, garden-inspired florals in a summery palette of peach, blush, and buttery yellow. Each arrangement felt as if it had bloomed naturally from the museum’s modern lines, creating an atmosphere that was romantic, refined, and full of life.

Guests were welcomed by the sounds of Columbus Musicians and harpist Tiffany Harpist, setting an elegant tone for the afternoon. Every detail, from the couple’s personalized stationery by Ink and Ivory to thoughtful planning touches by MMJ Events, reflected care and intention.

Wedding Reception at the Museum: Designed with Intention

Following the ceremony, guests transitioned into cocktail hour in the Patricia M. Jurgensen Sculpture Garden. Custom drink toppers from Road to Joy Design added a playful personal touch, while the team at Columbus Museum Events provided impeccable service and catering. An ice luge by Rock on Ice kept signature cocktails cool and conversation flowing as friends and family mingled.

Dinner and dancing took place in the museum’s grand event space, the Schottenstein Property Group Pavilion transformed by Inspired Settings, BBJ La Tavola linens, Aiden and Grace rentals, and elegant chairs from Rent Wedding Chairs. A standout moment of the evening was the cake by Sweet and Shiny, designed as both a visual focal point and a seamless extension of the overall aesthetic. Thoughtfully crafted, it felt as much a part of the design as it did the celebration itself. Desserts from Pistacia Vera provided a sweet and memorable finish to the evening.

The energy of the evening came alive with music from The Chuck Taylors, whose performance kept the dance floor packed all night long. Between laughter, toasts, and heartfelt moments, the celebration struck a perfect balance between elevated elegance and effortless joy.

Bridal Style from La Jeune Mariée Bridal Boutique: Timeless and Refined

Malia was the picture of timeless beauty in a Monique Lhuillier gown from La Jeune Mariée Bridal Boutique, paired with a soft and romantic beauty look by Makeup by Merideth and hairstyling from Sarah W Hair and Crystals in Oasis Bridal. Her glowing blonde color by Beauty by Bullaro completed the look perfectly. Hunter looked equally sharp in a classic tux from The Black Tux, a timeless complement to the day’s refined aesthetic.

Wedding Photography by Kismet Visuals: Captured with Intention

Kismet Visuals documented the celebration with a timeless, editorial approach, capturing both the quiet, in-between moments and the larger, artful compositions that defined the day. Prodigy Video preserved the movement and energy as it unfolded, while Instant Memories by Kate offered a modern, behind-the-scenes perspective.

Why the Columbus Museum of Art Is a Standout Columbus Wedding Venue

From start to finish, Malia and Hunter’s wedding at the Columbus Museum of Art was a masterpiece of modern romance. Guided by expert planning, breathtaking florals, and a dream team of creatives, the day felt as though it had been painted just for them—a celebration of love, art, and the beauty of being surrounded by the people who matter most.
