Matt and Avery’s wedding was the perfect blend of industrial chic, downtown charm, and personal touches that made the day feel unmistakably theirs. Set at Strongwater Event Center in the heart of Franklinton, the celebration brought together white and blue tones, disco-ball sparkle, and the couple’s closest people for a day full of connection and joy.

A Modern Venue Full of Character

Strongwater’s exposed brick, tall ceilings, and creative layout created a backdrop that felt both bold and inviting. The couple shared a private first look in the courtyard before moving through the venue’s many unique spaces, taking golden hour portraits with photographer Sophia Yates and videographer Gabe Lomotey.

Their ceremony took place outdoors on the patio as the evening light settled in, giving the moment an intimate and relaxed feel. Surrounded by friends and family, Matt and Avery exchanged rings from Helzberg Jewelry and stepped into married life with a backdrop that blended Franklinton grit with soft romance.

Morning of Details

Avery looked stunning in her gown from Luxe Redux Columbus, from the Abella Collection by Allure Bridal. The bridal party wore coordinated blue dresses from Revelry, Birdy Grey, and Show Me Your Mumu, creating a palette that felt fresh and elevated. Oak and Ivory Beauty Co styled the bridesmaids and Avery’s hair, while Makeover by Elizabeth handled the makeup for the entire group.

Matt kept his look classic with a tux from The Black Tux, and the two made a striking pair as they explored Strongwater’s galleries, courtyard, and industrial spaces together.

A Dream Team Behind the Day

Lavender Haze Wedding Co, with coordinator Courtney Parker leading the way, kept the day running seamlessly from start to finish. Their attention to detail made each transition effortless, from the first look through the last dance.

The celebration actually began the night before with a warm and relaxed rehearsal dinner at Land Grant Brewing, setting the tone for an unforgettable wedding weekend in their favorite part of the city.

A Reception Filled with Energy

Guests enjoyed delicious catering from Milo’s Catering before heading into the Gallery Space, where Sonus Entertainment kept the dance floor packed all night long. Disco balls shimmered overhead, cupcakes from A Pink Apron added a sweet touch, and the atmosphere stayed lively well into the evening.

Every detail came together in a way that felt cohesive and personal, reflecting the couple’s style and the people who helped bring their day to life.

A Celebration They’ll Never Forget

Looking back, Avery sums up the day perfectly. “We had a beautiful wedding at Strongwater Events and had the best vendors ever. We had disco balls, cupcakes, and all of our favorite people there to celebrate.”

Matt and Avery’s Strongwater wedding was modern, joyful, and full of the kind of moments couples hope for. It showcased the best of downtown Columbus, the charm of Franklinton, and the magic that happens when great vendors come together for a couple who genuinely loves celebrating life with the people around them.
