Before the day even began, it was clear Mikayla and Owen’s wedding would be something special. From the people involved to the intention behind every decision, their celebration at The Gardens at Jorgensen Farms felt deeply personal and full of joy.

She continues, “Their wedding itself was nothing short of breathtaking. Thoughtfully curated details, a stunning setting, and the effortless elegance of the entire event created an atmosphere that felt both elevated and deeply personal. Every single moment from the quiet anticipation before the ceremony to the joyful energy on the dance floor was nothing short of rare and beautiful.”

A Day That Felt Like Them

Planned by Lindsey Michelle Events, Mik and Owen’s wedding on September 5, 2025 at The Gardens at Jorgensen Farms was the perfect blend of garden romance and modern design. As Mik shared, “Our wedding day felt like the perfect blend of garden romance and modern. We wanted a wedding that felt like us and was full of meaning, personality, and little choices that made the entire day more connected and present.”

From the start, everything about the day reflected that vision.

Getting Ready at Jorgensen Farms

Mik and Owen got ready onsite at the venue, which helped the day feel relaxed and grounded. Photographer Brittany Sidwell captured the morning beautifully, documenting both the quiet moments and the emotional ones. Mik’s bridal look came together with glam by Angie Warren Artistry and hair by Sarah W Hair, creating a polished but natural feel.

Mik wore the Alva gown by Leah Da Gloria, found at La Jeune Mariée, a simple strapless gown with soft draping that felt timeless and modern. Owen wore a tux from Generation Tux, complementing the clean, elevated aesthetic of the day.

Personal Details Woven Throughout

Meaningful details were layered into every part of the wedding. Mik honored her family in deeply personal ways, including wearing her grandmother’s handmade wedding dress at the rehearsal and incorporating heirloom diamonds into her engagement ring. Their matching wedding bands were designed by the couple and handcrafted by Felger Studios, who also created Mik’s engagement ring.

Some décor elements were DIY, giving the day a personal, intentional feel without ever feeling overdone.

A Ceremony Filled With Meaning

The ceremony took place at The Gardens at Jorgensen Farms, surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant, colorful florals designed by Jorgensen Farms. Walking down the aisle with her little brother was a moment Mik says she will carry forever.

“Walking down the aisle with my little brother is something I’ll remember for the rest of my life,” she shared. “My dad passed away right before I got engaged, and having my brother by my side was emotional and grounding in a way I didn’t expect.”

During the ceremony, when the officiant mentioned Mik’s dad, a gust of wind moved through the space.

“I knew immediately it was him,” Mik said.

Their personal vows and the intentional remembrance of loved ones made the ceremony one of the most emotional moments of the day.

Photos Before the Ceremony

Looking back on the day, Mik shared that one of their favorite choices was taking photos before the ceremony, allowing them to be fully present once the celebration began.

“One of the best decisions we made was taking all our photos before the ceremony so we could actually attend our own wedding, be at cocktail hour, and spend time with the people who showed up for us.”

By doing so, they were able to soak in every moment of the celebration and enjoy the evening alongside their loved ones.

A Reception Full of Color and Personality

The reception was warm, colorful, and completely intentional. Florals from Jorgensen Farms carried through the space, adding movement and vibrancy. Each bridesmaid chose her own dress in a warm-toned palette.

“I cared more about everyone feeling comfortable and themselves than matching perfectly,” Mik shared.

Every guest found a handwritten note waiting at their seat, one of the most meaningful details of the day. Instead of a traditional grand entrance, Mik and Owen walked in first and roasted their wedding party with class superlatives.

The dance floor stayed packed thanks to DJ Axcess and an incredible saxophonist, while Wedding Days With Dania captured behind-the-scenes moments throughout the celebration.

A Day Rooted in Joy and Intention

Looking back, Mik says it best: “Our wedding felt like the perfect mix of joy, intention, remembrance, and celebration. It was colorful and modern, emotional and fun, and completely shaped by the people we love most and the choices that felt true to us.”

Mik and Owen’s wedding at The Gardens at Jorgensen Farms was a beautiful reminder that when a day is built with intention and heart, it becomes something truly unforgettable.
