Marielle & Kyle’s Stunning May Wedding Day
Marielle and Kyle’s wedding at the Columbus Museum of Art was a thoughtful celebration of timeless elegance, artful design, and meaningful moments—set against some of the most iconic architecture in Columbus, Ohio. With a seamless blend of classic tradition and modern refinement, their day unfolded with intention from start to finish, captured by the talented Nicole Dixon Photographic.
A Classic Ceremony at Our Lady of Victory
The celebration began with a traditional Catholic ceremony at Our Lady of Victory in Upper Arlington, a setting rich in history and architectural beauty. As guests filled the pews, anticipation built for Marielle’s entrance. She arrived wearing a structured Anne Barge gown that embodied classic sophistication, paired with a sheer Nyanza Bridal veil that flowed gracefully down the aisle. The look was timeless yet striking, perfectly suited for the grandeur of the church.
Kyle complemented her effortlessly in a sharp black-tie ensemble from Suit Supply, bringing a modern polish to the classic ceremony. As the couple recessed down the aisle as newlyweds, the atmosphere shifted to one of pure joy. Laughter echoed through the church, and a tender moment followed as Kyle paused to gently arrange Marielle’s cathedral-length veil—an unplanned gesture that captured the warmth and ease of their relationship.
Portraits That Celebrated Architecture and Emotion
Following the ceremony, family portraits took place against the stone façade of Our Lady of Victory, where soft natural light and textured architecture created a timeless backdrop. From there, the celebration transitioned to the Columbus Museum of Art, where the couple’s vision fully came to life.
The museum’s grand exterior provided a dramatic setting for portraits on the front steps, with Marielle’s veil catching the breeze in a moment that felt effortlessly editorial. Inside, the galleries offered a striking contrast—bold-hued walls, clean lines, and iconic works of art framed the couple in scenes that felt regal and refined. The outdoor sculpture garden softened the mood, offering a serene space for more intimate portraits surrounded by greenery and natural textures.
Each location within the museum allowed for a different visual story, blending art, architecture, and emotion in a way that felt both elevated and deeply personal.
An Elegant Reception in Edwards Court
The reception unfolded in Edwards Court, where classic design met thoughtful detail. Crisp white Chiavari chairs and linens established a clean, refined foundation, allowing the layered elements of the design to shine. Blue-and-white chinoiserie accents added a sense of timeless charm, nodding to traditional elegance while still feeling fresh and modern.
Vessel Floral & Event Design brought the space to life with lush arrangements of orchids, phalaenopsis, calla lilies, white roses, and sweet peas. The floral design struck a beautiful balance between modern structure and romantic softness, enhancing the space without overpowering it. Each arrangement felt intentional, adding texture and movement throughout the reception.
Lavender & Honey created a true showpiece of a cake—a pale blue confection adorned with delicate white florals. Elegant yet understated, the design echoed the overall aesthetic of the evening and served as a subtle focal point within the space.
A Night Filled with Celebration and Joy
As Marielle and Kyle made their entrance into the reception, their expressions revealed just how meaningful the moment was. Seeing their vision fully realized, surrounded by loved ones, set the tone for the evening ahead. Heartfelt toasts followed, filled with laughter, emotion, and stories that celebrated the couple’s journey together.
Once the dance floor opened, guests eagerly joined in as Jomar Shaffer of Luminary Productions kept the energy high throughout the night. The celebration unfolded with ease—equal parts elegant and joyful—as friends and family danced beneath the museum’s architectural glow.
From the ceremony to the final song of the evening, Marielle and Kyle’s wedding was a seamless reflection of who they are as a couple. Artful, romantic, and timeless in every sense, the day honored tradition while embracing modern elegance—an unforgettable celebration set within one of Columbus’s most iconic venues.
