Ben and Katherine’s wedding was a lively, personalized celebration at Scioto Reserve Country Club, full of bright colors, meaningful traditions, and playful details that reflected their personalities. They kicked off the festivities with an intimate rehearsal dinner at Mezzo Dublin, giving family and friends a relaxed evening to connect before the big day.
A Meaningful Morning: The Chinese Tea Ceremony
Their wedding morning began with a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony, where Ben and Katherine honored their families and symbolized the joining of two households. Kneeling before their parents, they offered tea in exchange for red envelopes, wearing a classic Qipao and Tang Suit. Red décor accented with the double happiness (囍) motif brought warmth and tradition to the morning, setting a meaningful tone for the day ahead.
Getting Ready for a Bright Celebration
The bridal party’s morning was filled with excitement and pampering. Hair and makeup for the bride and her party were expertly done by 614 Beauty. The bride wore a stunning gown from Wendys Bridal with additional details from Watters, while bridesmaids wore dresses from Birdy Grey, Azazie, and Princess Polly. A Reception Full of Personality
The reception showcased bright, summery décor inspired by the day after the summer solstice. Florals, vases, and pedestals from Loden Floral Design brought pops of color reminiscent of a fruity cocktail on a warm summer day, complemented by candles, LED lamps, and custom bar signage provided by the couple. Tables were set with charger plates and macarons from Mjomii Dessert and Coffee House, and stationery including menus and place cards came from Truly Engaging. Chairs and linens were provided by the venue.
Entertainment kept the energy high with strings from Viva La Strings and a DJ from Sound Impressions. Guests captured the night from their own perspective with disposable film cameras from Cheecam, creating lasting memories. A photobooth and bubble tea bar from Bubbles Tea & Juice Company added playful touches. The wedding cake by The Cake Studio was accompanied by additional sweets from Mjomii.
From the meaningful morning ceremony to the joyful, personalized reception, Ben and Katherine’s wedding at Scioto Reserve Country Club was a vibrant, unforgettable day filled with thoughtful details that made it truly their own.
