Jenny and Nick’s summer wedding felt filled with light from beginning to end. Vibrant color, easy joy, and heartfelt moments shaped a celebration that moved beautifully from a warm welcome party at Dempsey’s Food and Spirits to a classic ceremony in downtown Columbus and then into the sweeping greens of The Lakes Golf and Country Club in Worthington. It was a day built around family, gratitude, and a setting that fit them perfectly.

A Morning of Beauty and Anticipation

The day began with a calm and happy atmosphere as the bride prepared with her bridal party and the talented beauty team from Le Reve Chateau. Jenny chose a fresh and polished look that complemented her vision for a bright and airy celebration. She opened special gifts from her loved ones, and had meaningful first looks with family members. Meanwhile, the groomsmen made final preparations- straightening bow ties and fasten boutonnieres. Oh Miss Meghan Photography captured a quiet first touch shared by the couple before the excitement of the ceremony.

A Timeless Ceremony at Saint Mary Catholic Church

Jenny and Nick exchanged vows at Saint Mary Catholic Church in downtown Columbus. The soaring architecture, gentle light, and sense of history within the space created a ceremony that felt both grand and personal. Friends and family filled the pews, and the couple shared meaningful moments at the altar before stepping into the rest of their celebration.

Portraits on the Green at The Lakes

After the ceremony, the couple made their way to The Lakes Golf and Country Club where Oh Miss Meghan Photography captured their portraits among the greens and water. The summer light created a beautiful glow across the course. Their time on the golf cart made for some of the sweetest images of the day, especially with the custom wedding flag that added a charming and memorable touch.

Chris Pennington Films recorded every natural, unscripted moment, turning the flow of the day into a moving story the couple will be able to revisit forever.

A Reception Filled with Color and Summer Warmth

Kiwi Blooms brought the couple’s vision to life with richly colored floral designs that felt joyful and full of movement. The arrangements brought warmth to the reception space and made the bright and airy theme feel even more alive. Inside The Lakes, guests were welcomed with an atmosphere that blended classic elegance with an inviting summer mood.

Dinner, toasts, and time spent connecting with loved ones unfolded easily as the sun settled over the course. The setting created a comfortable and beautiful environment for everyone to enjoy.

A Sweet and Memorable Ending

The couple’s cake from Capital City Cakes was a highlight during the reception. Guests were then treated to an additional dessert surprise from Johnson’s Real Ice Cream, which offered the perfect cool ending to a warm summer evening. Laughter, dancing, and heartfelt conversations filled the remaining hours as Jenny and Nick celebrated with the people who mean the most to them.

Jenny and Nick’s wedding at The Lakes Golf and Country Club was a bright, joyful, and beautifully designed celebration where the green truly met the words I do.
