A Stunning Wedding at Oak Grove, Jorgensen Farms
Stephen and Austin’s wedding day at Jorgensen Farms Oak Grove was rooted in intention, symbolism, and deep connection. Set within the historic greenhouse in New Albany, Ohio, their celebration blended natural beauty with thoughtful design choices that reflected who they are and the community they cherish.
Captured by Starling Studio, the day unfolded with quiet emotion and striking visual moments, from the morning preparations to a joyful evening spent on the dance floor.
Getting Ready with Purpose
The day began at Le Méridien The Joseph, where Stephen and Austin prepared for the celebration ahead. The atmosphere was calm and filled with anticipation. Stephen approached the morning with a steady presence, while Austin brought energy and confidence to each moment.
Throughout the suite, small details hinted at what was to come. A recurring snail motif appeared in subtle ways, offering a first look at the symbolism woven throughout the day. The grooms worked with Berlyn Events to plan and design a wedding that felt personal and aligned with their values. Their vendor team was intentionally chosen and made up largely of female owned, queer owned, and minority owned businesses.
A Symbol That Told Their Story
The snail became the central symbol of Stephen and Austin’s wedding day. Early in their relationship, Stephen once compared their partnership to a snail. He saw himself as steady and thoughtful, while Austin represented strength and beauty. Together, they created balance.
What began as a metaphor grew into a meaningful theme. Guests first encountered it through custom acrylic invitations produced by Avant Garde Impressions. As the day continued, the symbol appeared again and again, tying the story together in a way that felt thoughtful and sincere.
A Greenhouse Ceremony Filled with Emotion
Guests arrived at Jorgensen Farms Oak Grove and were welcomed into the historic greenhouse. Soft pink draping, fresh florals by Prema Designs, and hand drawn signage produced by Lovely Grain Studio set the tone. A signature cocktail inspired by the grooms’ travels through Portugal greeted guests as they took their seats.
Stephen and Austin walked down the aisle hand in hand. Their ceremony was officiated by a close friend, making the moment feel intimate and deeply personal. Both grooms wore tailored suiting from Pursuit, paired with statement shoes by Christian Louboutin. The setting was simple and elegant, allowing the emotion of the moment to take center stage.
An Autumn Garden Reception
Following the ceremony, guests were invited into the reception space, where Prema Designs transformed the room into an autumn garden. Moss, antique hydrangeas, wine toned ranunculus, garden roses, and smilax filled the space with warmth and texture.
Five greenery covered arches suspended crystal chandeliers and floral installations above the head table. Rentals from Got Ya Covered Linens and seating by Envision Elegance completed the look. An escort display created by Arch Event Rentals welcomed guests as they entered, featuring glowing neon snails and custom name cards.
Before guests entered the room, Stephen and Austin shared a private dance. It was a quiet moment for the two of them to take in the space and the vision they had brought to life together.
Personal Details That Honored Loved Ones
Each escort card included a handwritten note from the couple. Every guest received a personal message expressing gratitude for their presence and support. A memorial table honored loved ones who were no longer there, with meaningful items placed at each setting.
One of the most emotional moments of the evening came during Austin’s Village Dance. Instead of a traditional mother son dance, Austin chose to dance with the women who raised him after losing his mother at a young age. Each woman took her turn on the dance floor, honoring the community that shaped him and supported him throughout his life.
A Night Full of Celebration
As the evening continued, the energy in the room shifted into celebration. DJ Dayna and DJ Brent kept the dance floor full, with guests waving clack fans and light up batons late into the night. Not a single seat stayed filled for long.
Guests enjoyed night treats from Little Ladies Soft Serve and fresh oysters from Blue Ember Oysters. Lohcally Artisian Chocolates Provided delicious chocolates as gifts to the attendees. Transportation provided by Columbus Coach ensured the night ended smoothly for everyone.
Stephen and Austin’s wedding was a reflection of love, balance, and community. Every detail felt intentional and every moment felt honest. It was a celebration that will be remembered long after the final song played.
