A Modern Columbus Museum of Art Wedding: A Celebration of Connection & Authenticity
Week after week, our team has the honor of showcasing weddings from across Columbus, each one filled with thoughtful details, meaningful moments, and a talented community of vendors. Each month, we highlight one celebration that captures something truly special.
This month, we’re featuring a wedding centered on authenticity, intention, and creating a day that felt completely true to the couple. Habeeb and Dylan’s celebration at the Columbus Museum of Art was both elevated and deeply personal, designed with purpose and filled with joy from beginning to end.
How the Couple Met — A Connection That Naturally Grew
Habeeb and Dylan met coincidentally through a mutual friend, forming a connection that quickly grew into something lasting.
What started as a simple introduction developed naturally over time, building into a relationship rooted in love, intention, and a shared vision for their future together.
A Columbus Museum of Art Wedding Designed with Intention
On October 18, 2025, Habeeb and Dylan celebrated their wedding at the Columbus Museum of Art, hosting both their ceremony and reception in Edwards Court for a seamless, immersive experience.
Planning and design by SoCo36 Events brought a modern and intentional vision to life. Decor and rentals from Sage Hill Rentals paired beautifully with floral arrangements by Prema Designs, creating a space that felt refined, inviting, and effortlessly cohesive.
Redefining Tradition in a Meaningful Way
One of the most impactful elements of the day was the couple’s approach to tradition.
As an LGBTQ+ wedding, Habeeb and Dylan reimagined certain moments to reflect what felt most authentic to them. They chose to have their sister and mother walk them down the aisle, creating a moment that was both personal and meaningful.
Their ceremony, officiated by their friend Dr. Shagun Berry, added another layer of intimacy, making the experience even more special for everyone in attendance.
A Seamless Celebration from Ceremony to Reception
Hosting both the ceremony and reception in one space created a natural flow throughout the day, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in each moment.
The celebration continued with an energetic reception, where guests gathered, celebrated, and filled the dance floor well into the evening.
Capturing Every Moment
Magical Minutes Photography captured the day with a thoughtful approach, documenting both the quiet, emotional moments and the energy of the celebration.
Each image reflects the feeling of the day—intentional, joyful, and completely authentic to Habeeb and Dylan.
Wedding Advice from Habeeb & Dylan
“Months of planning will go by in the blink of an eye, so do your best to really take it all in one moment at a time. Be present and remember why you are there.”
